The
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is an ongoing
four-step process designed to welcome new members into
the Catholic faith and to assist adult baptized
Catholics to complete the Sacraments of Eucharist and
Confirmation. Generally, the RCIA process for full
membership into the Church takes about a year. |
All
registered members of the parish who have completed
the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and
Confirmation) are invited to serve
in this ministry. |
Catechists instruct in the faith and share their
faith. Hospitality assistants set up coffee, tea and
refreshments. Sponsors walk with a person in their
faith journey, witnessing to the Catholic faith in
everyday life. |

Sessions
are conducted weekly, beginning in September. RCIA
team training is provided by the Diocese. |
