Music
Ministry at Sacred Heart is an integral part of our
worship. We believe that our prayer life is enhanced
and nourished through the sung word. Music Ministry
involves every member of our parish community, as all
are called to participate in liturgy through song.
To add solemnity and beauty to our liturgies through
music, there are four choirs who help enhance the song
of our community: |

Adult
Choir
|
Our Adult Choir will resume
rehearsals on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 8:00 PM in the Church. The choir will sing the first two Sundays of the month at the 11:30 AM Mass.
The remaining Sundays of the month at the 9:00 AM Mass. Any person high school age or older is welcome to become a member.
The choir also sings for various Holy Days and concerts (including "Another Night On Broadway") throughout the year.
New members are always needed and welcome. Have you heard? Heard the song of the congregation lately? Such a glorious sound!
Certainly there are those of you in the pews that would enjoy and enhance our music program by being a part of the choir. Why not consider joining us?
There is no need for special training, just a desire to praise God through sung prayer |

Adult Hand
Bell Choir
|
Our Adult Handbell Choir will resume rehearsals Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 6:45 PM. We will
rehearse in the Music Room of Holy Savior Academy. The Adult Bell Choir will ring once a month at the 9:00 AM Mass. There is no need for you to
read music as all the handbell music is color coded. We need 11 ringers for the group to play at its maximum potential, new members
are welcome and needed. Any person high school age and older is welcome to join. |

Advanced Youth Hand
Bell Choir
|
The Advanced
Youth Hand Bell Choir is designed for the youth of our
parish who are in Grades 7 and 8. Admission to this choir is by audition only.
Advanced Youth Handbell Choir will rehearse on Tuesday afternoons 2:15 to 3:00 PM. The Advanced Youth
Handbell Choir will ring on the third and fourth Sundays of the month at the 11:30 AM Mass.

Folk
Group
|
The
Folk Group enhances the liturgy through music and song
with a contemporary flair from August through June. |

Middle Choir
|
For
the young students of our parish in Grades 3 - 8. The Middle choir will
sing the second Sunday of the month at the 9:00 AM Mass and also the fourth Sunday of the month at the 5:00 PM Saturday night Mass.

|
For
children of our parish in Grades 1 - 2, the
Children's Choir sings once a month at the 9:00 AM Mass.
